“I was drawn to the precision, speed, and sculptural beauty of this moment in flight. I created this photograph to translate a split second of power and motion into an image that still feels alive on the wall.” — Chris Fabregas

Artist Statement

I took this photograph because formation flying is one of those things that looks effortless from the ground even though you know how much precision is involved. I wanted to freeze the jets close enough together that you can appreciate the spacing, shape, and discipline of the formation. It is a split second of speed that becomes almost sculptural when you stop it in a photograph.
